Cool chobomaster's commissions

Interested in a digital portrait of your character in an experimental and painterly style? Then hopefully I can be your guy.

I don't really have a body of work so I did a couple of loose examples so you have an idea of how your portrait may come out.

If you sign up w/ me, you should expect your portraits to have this loose level of finish, a little more experimentation with brushes and color, but with a closer eye on anatomy (like, I'll actually look at a real woman's face instead of fudge it up as in above).

Due to time, I'm going to accept a very limited amount of commissions so if I'm unable to fulfill your request please don't take it personally.

PRICE

For pricing, let's say it's 36K+ for a bust, 50k+ for a full body, depending on details, features. I always paint with at least a simple bg as shown, but I can put in an indication of a location for a little more, and I'm not shy of doing a more complex environment if that's what you need (of course price increases with complexity/detail). Don't be afraid to ask me for crazy scenarios.

INFO YOU CAN GIVE ME

Anyway, please post here or PM me your character's name, class, and some screenshots. It doesn't hurt to describe your character, whether you give me a list of adjectives, or a synopsis of his/her backstory. The more I know your character, the more I can interpret how to portray him/her. Otherwise I can flex my creative muscles to fill in the blanks. Maybe you have a preference for the mood of the painting, like time of day or bg color?

PAYMENT

When I complete your portrait I'll send you a small watermarked version for you to approve, and upon receiving payment in-game (my name is "What The Hung") I will send you the high res finished piece.

Again, thanks for reading, and in case I cannot do your character, apologies in advance.

regards,
chobomaster

Oooh, pick me!

Hi, I see you posted your thread just as I hit the commission boards. I like the look!

Okay, so here's the screenshot/collage: Aidan Thurifuge
Bust or full-body is fine. He's an E/Mo Aeromancer. Though his armor is black and silver, (and his hair if fiery orange) his favorite color is actually blue/grey like storm clouds. Weapons are not important either, he usually uses whatever he can get.

Reason I want his picture done:
Aidan just turned a year old and made level 20 just days before. He was my oldest character and one that had been neglected, mostly because none of the other elements really felt right with my player style.
He was born in Ascalon, starting out and a pyro/ranger, but fleeing Tyria after the searing because his family was known for their heavy use of fire. He headed off, alone, through the shiverpeaks as a fledgling pryomancer, often hiding his abilities through use of a bow.
From Lion's Arch he headed to Kaineng and had his body kicked and recycled through Vizunah Square by a minion master. He became Weh No Su at 14, and it was then he decided it was time for change. He took up healing powers and water magic, thinking it would somehow make up for the past (even though his family's pyromancy was not to blame for the searing). Months passed on. As his birthday drew near, he knew it was time to become the man he was destined to be. He headed to Elona and learned some interesting new magic by watching the Jacaranda.

That is his story. A story of a troubled young man trying to find his way in the world.

Anyway, I hope that is enough inspiration to help with the picture.

Ooh, me next! I'll post pics and background info shortly. Wanted to get my place in line. I would like a full body, including Orson please. With or without the storm bow, I'll leave it to you.

This would be for my ranger, Christopher Snow Sr and his best friend and pet Orson. They are very close and do just about everything together.

Very unique style, very interesting. I like it

I would like to make a request for a full body color. Do you do pets? Black Moa Bird? I'll attach screenies so you can look at them, and I will post info on characters if you decide to give it a go.

thanks
